On arrival at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport you will be received by our office executive who will assist you to board your vehicle to Gangtok(5500 Ft /1677 Mts, 130 Kms / 4 -5 Hrs). Upon arrival proceed to the hotel for check-in; the evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
After breakfast, in the morning, start for excursion to Tshangu Lake (12400Ft / 3780 Mts / 43Kms in 3Hrs one way from Gangtok) &through Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary and Baba Mandir (13100Ft / 3994 Mts / 16Kms in 1Hrs one way from Tshangu Lake) (no entry for foreigner national, they are allowed to visit till Tshangu Lake, with a valid permit. They also have to be 02 & above is number to visit Tshangu Lake). Situated at a height of 12400Ft / 3780 Mts / 43Kms in 3Hrs one way, with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Back to Gangtok and Overnight at Gangtok. (Incase of Landslide or due to any other reasons if Tshangu Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided) Supplement cost for Nathula pass will be INR 3500 per vehicle, it will be closed on Monday & Tuesday and subjected to permit availability.
After breakfast in the morning transfer to Lachen – Drive 135 kilometers, 5 – 6 hours’ drive – via Chungthang reach Lachen late afternoon / early evening - it’s a valley surrounded by gigantic and humbling snow peak mountains and the starting point of Green Lake Trek – In fact the village cradled between stern, tall rock faces standing like guards – A hamlet with very few people – It almost like this town is hidden from the outside – Like a Shangri - La – Check into a hotel - Welcome Tea – Evening free to stroll and visit the Lepcha Village – Overnight stay at Lachen.
Early morning breakfast – Visit to Gurudongmar Lake 55 kilometers, 2½ - 3½ hours’ drive - A valley at an altitude of 11, 800 feet through which Lachen Chu flows, generally covered with snow from December to April or even more is known as the Holy / Sacred Lake - Next drive through the cold desert till Tibet / China back to Resort for Lunch – Afternoon drive to Lachung - The region is fully covered with Rhododendron forest with Chopta Valley and Thangu are the other places of interest - Back to hotel for lunch - After lunch proceed to Lachung – Nearly 50 kilometers and two hours’ drive – Check into hotel at Lachung - Evening free to visit Lachung Monastery - Overnight stay at Lachung.
After breakfast you leave for Yumthang (Yumthang is a large valley surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends. In April, May and June the valley erupts in a riot of colors as rhododendrons, primulae and many other Alpine Flowers are in full bloom. In winters, Yumthang is somber with snow all around and the snow clad mountains adds to the ethereal beauty) one way. You can pay a visit to the famous hot spring on the way.
Afternoon you will depart for Gangtok stopping on the way at many places (if time permits) between Singhik and Mangan to see the Kanchendzonga Range. These locations offer majestic view of Mt. Pandim, Mt Kabru, Mt. Simvo, Mt. Jopuno, Mt Kanchenzonga and Mt. Siniolchu.
Handicraft and Handloom, Flower show, Ganesh tok and Tashi view point, Gonjang Monastery, Bakthang Waterfall, Do Drol Chorten, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Enchay Monastery, Ropeway, Hanuman Tok. Namchi is located about 78 km away from the city of Gangtok, Sikkim. Famous for being home to the World’s largest statue of Padmasambhava, the patron saint of Sikkim.
