After a delicious breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed towards the village of Broc, which lies between the Vanils summits and La Gruyere Lake. The place is known for being home to the famous Maison Cailler factory of chocolate making.
On reaching Broc, proceed towards the chocolate factory and enjoy an interactive guided tour, which will enable you to understand the making of Swiss chocolates. Also, during the tour, you will be told about the history of the factory from 1898 till the present time. After the tour, you can taste these chocolates while the enthusiastic ones
can buy them from the factory shops, where a range of these can be purchased.
Afterwards, proceed towards the beautiful city of Berne, which is the de facto capital of Switzerland and the capital of the Bern canton. The historic old town of the city was acknowledged as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 1983.
Upon arrival in Berne, proceed to an Indian restaurant for a delicious lunch. Thereafter, go for an orientation tour of the city, by visiting popular attractions, namely the Clock Tower, Barengraben and Bundeshaus.
Clock Tower, a landmark of the city, was constructed in the early 13th century and since then has served as a prison, guard tower, civic memorial and centre of urban life. It is also known by the name Zytglogge and is a heritage site of the city.
A popular attraction of Berne, Barengraben is a pit where bears are kept. This Swiss heritage site of national significance now serves as a supplement to the BarenPark, which lies alongside the Aar River and has a larger area.
Bundeshaus or Federal Palace is the place that houses the Swiss Federal Council and Swiss Federal Assembly. Inaugurated in 1902, this building is a masterpiece by the architect, Hans Auer.
After completing the tour, proceed towards Zurich/Lucerne. On reaching the destination, go to an Indian restaurant to enjoy scrumptious delicacies for dinner. Later, proceed to the hotel in the Zurich/Lucerne area for an overnight stay.
