Upon arrival in Paris, you will be greeted by a Yatra tour manager.
Paris is the beautiful capital city of the French Republic that is widely praised for its rich heritage and history.
Proceed for a delicious dinner, which would include Indian dishes.
Afterwards, check into your hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.
In the morning, you will be served a tasteful continental breakfast, following which you will be taken for a guided city tour of Paris. During this excursion, you will visit some of the finest sites situated here that are known all over the world for their grandeur.
Visit the grand Arc de Triomphe, which is a 19th-century monument dedicated to people who lost their lives during the course of the Napoleonic and French Revolutionary wars. A tour of the famous Concorde Square will remind you of the architectural achievements and brilliant town planning of the Parisians. Les Invalides, the conglomeration of museums and monuments, is an unmissable location in Paris and is dominated by the Baroque style of architecture. Next, proceed to Palais Garnier, the renowned opera house that is commonly known as Opera Garnier and is a major landmark here. An exploration of the city remains incomplete without taking a walk through the Champs-Elysees boulevard, which is dotted with plush restaurants, luxury outlets, bars and theatres.
One of the most prominent attractions to be visited during the day is The Louvre, which is housed within the medieval-era Louvre Palace and is counted amongst the largest museums across the globe. It houses sculptures, such as Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, the armless Venus de Milo and Madonna of the Rocks.
As the evening approaches, you will be taken to the Eiffel Tower – the international and cultural icon of Paris. It is named after Gustave Eiffel, who was the engineer behind its construction and planning. You will be taken till the second level of the tower that provides a stunning view of the city. Later, go for an evening boat cruise on
River Seine that will be followed by a lavish Indian dinner. Afterwards, you can enjoy a burlesque Lido Show and head for a mesmerising Illumination Tour of Paris.
As the evening comes to an end, retire to the hotel room for a refreshing overnight sleep.
Soon after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed towards Geneva in Switzerland. A global city, Geneva is the second-most populous in the country and is situated between the mountain chains of the Jura and the Alps. On way to Geneva, you can enjoy the packed Indian lunch.
On reaching Geneva, proceed towards the Palace of Nations, which is situated in Ariana Park and serves as the home to the United Nations Office. Click pictures at this place and admire the architecture of the buildings, which have notable significance in Europe. Thereafter, proceed for an orientation tour of the city, during which, you will get a chance to visit Floral Clock, Jet D’eau and Lake Geneva.
Created in 1955, Floral Clock is dedicated to the watchmakers of the nation. More than 65000 shrubs and flowers are planted together to form this unique watch.
Jet D’eau, a popular landmark of Geneva, is a huge fountain and listed among the largest ones in the world. Per second, about 500 litres of water are jetted towards the
skies that reach to a height of 140 metres. The fountain is a sight to watch and taking pictures of it is a must.
Lake Geneva, spread over an area of around 8.14 square miles, is a freshwater water body.
After the orientation tour, visit an Indian restaurant for dinner. Thereafter, proceed to the hotel, check-in and stay overnight.
After a delicious breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed towards the village of Broc, which lies between the Vanils summits and La Gruyere Lake. The place is known for being home to the famous Maison Cailler factory of chocolate making.
On reaching Broc, proceed towards the chocolate factory and enjoy an interactive guided tour, which will enable you to understand the making of Swiss chocolates. Also, during the tour, you will be told about the history of the factory from 1898 till the present time. After the tour, you can taste these chocolates while the enthusiastic ones
can buy them from the factory shops, where a range of these can be purchased.
Afterwards, proceed towards the beautiful city of Berne, which is the de facto capital of Switzerland and the capital of the Bern canton. The historic old town of the city was acknowledged as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 1983.
Upon arrival in Berne, proceed to an Indian restaurant for a delicious lunch. Thereafter, go for an orientation tour of the city, by visiting popular attractions, namely the Clock Tower, Barengraben and Bundeshaus.
Clock Tower, a landmark of the city, was constructed in the early 13th century and since then has served as a prison, guard tower, civic memorial and centre of urban life. It is also known by the name Zytglogge and is a heritage site of the city.
A popular attraction of Berne, Barengraben is a pit where bears are kept. This Swiss heritage site of national significance now serves as a supplement to the BarenPark, which lies alongside the Aar River and has a larger area.
Bundeshaus or Federal Palace is the place that houses the Swiss Federal Council and Swiss Federal Assembly. Inaugurated in 1902, this building is a masterpiece by the architect, Hans Auer.
After completing the tour, proceed towards Zurich/Lucerne. On reaching the destination, go to an Indian restaurant to enjoy scrumptious delicacies for dinner. Later, proceed to the hotel in the Zurich/Lucerne area for an overnight stay.
After enjoying a delicious Continental breakfast, spend the rest of the day at leisure in the hotel. Alternatively, you may choose the optional excursion to Jungfraujoch, often called the ‘Top of Europe’. It is the highest railway station in the continent of Europe as it lies at an elevation of 3453 m above mean sea level. To reach this place,
you will have to take a train that passes a 7.3 km tunnel. On reaching, you will be mesmerised to the core as the panoramic view of the landscape of the region is simply breathtaking.
Later, enjoy lunch at a popular Bollywood restaurant and then, proceed towards Interlaken. This famous resort town lies between the lakes of Brienz and Thun, in the heart of Alps Mountains. A popular retreat for winter sport enthusiasts, this small town, over the years, has become a popular spot for Bollywood moviemakers.
Later, relish rich delicacies at an Indian restaurant before returning to the hotel in Lucerne/Zurich/Interlaken area for an overnight stay.
After savouring a continental breakfast at the hotel, check- out of the hotel and you can spend the rest of the day at the hotel or explore nearby places. Those who wish to do much more can choose for an excursion to Mount Titlis, a glacier destination that is known as the snowboard paradise and the biggest ski area in the central part of Switzerland. The only way to reach the top of this mountain is by cable cars, and the journey on these cable cars gives an opportunity to witness the beauty of the picturesque region, characterised by snow all around with patches of lush green meadows in between. Towards the latter part of the journey, you would sit in the first rotating cable car of the world, known as the Titlis Rotair.
On reaching the destination, you can enjoy and play in the snow, visit the Ice Grotto or simply spend time at the restaurant and enjoying the beauty of nature. Thereafter, you can head to the terrace of the Mount Titlis summit station to take a ride of the Ice-Flyer (if weather permits). It is an enclosed ski life that comes down a few metres from the mountain top.
Later, enjoy a scrumptious Indian lunch at the summit of Mount Titlis. Then, proceed towards the highest suspension bridge in Europe – Titlis Cliff Walk – that is 100 metres long and lies at an altitude of 3000 metres above mean sea level.
Thereafter, go for an orientation tour of Lucerne and visit its famous attractions. First visit, Lion Monument (also called as Lion of Lucerne) is a sculpture. This artwork was designed by Bertel Thorvaldsen and later, hewn by Lukas Ahorn. The sculpture commemorates the Swiss guards, who lost their lives during the French Revolution.
During the tour, you may also choose to stroll across the oldest covered wooden bridge in the world – Kapperlbruke – that was constructed over the Reuss River in 1333.
Later, proceed towards Zurich Airport to bring this memorable journey to an end.
