It lies within Monaragala & Hambantota districts.Yala National Park covers about 97,880.7 hecters, the multifarious eco system ranging from the Moist Monsoon Forest to other natural compartment. Yala is an ideal place to spot the “big four” of Sri Lankan wildlife, the elephants, the sloth bear, the illusive leopard and the wild buffalo, the unsung denizen of the park, if nothing else dangerous to the extreme. Kumbukkan Oya in the North East and Menik Ganga and tributaries on the West, flow through the Park providing a source of water to the animals. Yala plays a very significant role in conservation of a large number of flora and fauna in the country. Yala West (Ruhuna) National Park is well recognized as one of the best parks in the world to observe and photograph leopards. The park covers an area of over 100,000 hectares.

This buzzing city used to be the country’s capital city, it now one of the cleanest cities in Sri Lanka. Check out the crystal white Race Course – that used to be the horse racing hub in 1893 but is now furnished with the latest clothes boutiques, restaurants and tea shops. You could even travel to Pettah and witness the famous ‘floating market’ for a new kind of shopping experience, or the famous Colombo Port City which is an offshore city featuring parks, commercial complexes and even a F1 track. If you head towards Bauddhaloka Mawatha, you would come across the “Arcade”. This building features the best designer branded shopping boutiques, souvenir shops, restaurants and coffee shops. One of its unique aspects is the ‘walk-over fish tank’ that has made this spot one of the trendiest and coolest hangout spots in Colombo.
