Transfer from Bentota to Mirissa.
On your way you can go on a boat ride along the Madu Ganga. It is a shallow water body in south west Sri Lanka. In 2000, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) undertook a detailed biodiversity survey of the region which revealed the existence of no less than 10 major wetland vegetation types supporting over 300 plant species and 248 species of vertebrates.
Because of this remarkable diversity, this natural mangrove forest is protected by the Ramsar Convention on wetlands since 2003. Over night stay in Mirissa.

Transfer to Arugam Bay.
Arugam Bay is a bay situated on the Indian Ocean in the dry zone of Sri Lanka's southeast coast. The bay is located 320 km due east of Colombo. "Ullai" as Arugam Bay is locally known is a popular surfing and tourist destination. Transfer to Sigiriya.
Sigiriya is a rock fortress which an ancient Sri Lankan King is built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes. On a small plateau about halfway up the side of this rock he built a gateway in the form of an enormous lion. The name of this place is derived from this structure -SThagiri, the Lion Rock. Sigiriya is considered one of the most important urban planning sites of the first millennium, and the site plan is considered very elaborate and imaginative. The plan combined concepts of symmetry and asymmetry to intentionally interlock the man-made geometrical and natural forms of the surroundings. On the west side of the rock lies a park for the royals, laid out on a symmetrical plan; the park contains water-retaining structures, including sophisticated surface/subsurface hydraulic systems, some of which are working even today. Sigiriya is a UNESCO World heritage site now.
After that you will transfer to Anuradhapura which is the largest district of Sri Lanka and was the first kingdom of ancient Ceylon. There are many historical places here including the Sri Maha Bodhi (Sacred Bo tree) which is recorded as the oldest tree in the world, the Ruwanweli dagaba, the Samadhi Buddha Statue which is a rock statue of Lord Buddha, the twin ponds that receive water from a tank by an underground irrigation system and many more. Wilpattu is a park located in North Central province of Sri Lanka. The unique feature of this park is the existence of Natural lakes - Natural, sand-rimmed water basins or depressions that fill with rainwater. It is the largest national park in Sri Lanka and also one of the oldest. Wilpattu is very popular for its large population of leopards. Transfer to Negombo.
When you reach Negombo, which is the home of largest catholic community of Sri Lanka, you can visit the old Portuguese fort constructed in 1644. Negombo offers some of the better beaches on the west coast of Sri Lanka, and draws tourists who stop over for a day on their way to or from the airport. Water-sports and diving are also extremely popular among visitors, with a few well preserved coral reefs and a 50 year old shipwreck (Kudapaduwa) that serves as an artificial reef for many varieties of fish.
