Welcome to Egypt - the Land of the Pharaohs. From Cairo International Airport we transfer you to your hotel. In the evening we attend the spectacular Sound and Light Show at the Giza Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure and enjoy the history of the ancient Egyptians. The show begins with the story of the Sphinx who has been the vigilant guardian of the Pyramids for five thousand years.Over night at Cairo.
On today`s trip to Alexandria, we visit the Citadel of Qaitbay which is situated at the entrance of the eastern harbour on the eastern point of the Pharos Island. It was erected on the exact site of the famous Lighthouse of  Alexandria, which was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Later we proceed to visit Bibliotheca Alexandrina which is a major library and cultural center & the Al-Abbas al-Mursi Mosque which is an Egyptian mosque in the city of Alexandria. Overnight at the hotel in Cairo.
During today’s  tour of Cairo you will see the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, as well as the Sphinx, carved from the natural bedrock at the bottom of the causeway to Khafre’s pyramid. Thereafter we visit an Egyptian Perfumery, before proceeding to the Egyptian Museum, which houses over 1,00,000 antiquities from every period of ancient Egyptian history. Do not miss the gallery featuring the famous treasures of Tutankhamun. Another highlight of this Museum is the Royal Mummies Room, which houses the mummies of many great Egyptian rulers, including Ramses II, the builder of the temples at Abu Simbel. Later we stop at the medieval market of Khan- El-Khalili where you can shop for spices, precious stones and curios. Over night at Cairo.
Today you take a flight to Aswan. On arrival, we take a luxurious and legendary Nile River Cruise for a great three-day cruise on the scenic Nile River. Overnight on board the Nile River Cruise

Today  proceed to visit Abu Simbel by coach (3.30 am departure) to view the two magnificent temples, carved into a mountainside and built during the reign of Pharaoh Pamesses II. These temples were threatened by submersion in Lake Nasser, due to the construction of the High Dam. During the salvage operations they were dismantled and raised over 60 meters up on the sandstone cliff where they had been built over 3,000 years before. We return to Aswan and visit the High Dam of Aswan, the pride of Egypt with its panoramic view. We then board our cruiser for lunch and sail on to Kom Ombo to visit the famous Temple of Kom Ombo, overlooking the Nile. This unique temple is the fusion of two temples set side by side, with each side having its own gateways and chapels. The left side of the temple is dedicated to Haroeris, the falcon-headed God and the right side is dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile-headed God of Fertility. Overnight on board the Nile River Cruise.
Today morning, on arrival into Edfu, they take you on a shore excursion to visit the Temple of Edfu. Of all the temples of ancient Egypt, the one at Edfu is not only the best preserved, but the second largest after Karnak. Dedicated to Horus, it was built in the Ptolemaic period. This temple is unusual in that it is on the west bank of the river which was normally dedicated to the afterlife. Next, enjoy the sights of the Nile River from the deck, as your Nile River Cruise sails to Luxor via the Esna Lock. On arrival in Luxor, we visit the famous Temple of Luxor. There is magic in the tombs of the great Kings with their imposing architecture and marvelous paintings. Even after over 5,000 years, the paintings retain their original colors and tell the story of civilization gone by. Overnight on board the Nile River Cruise.
Today we finish our cruise and go to visit the West Bank of Luxor. We proceed deep into the desert to discover the Valley of Kings - where generations of pharaohs and nobles were buried in great splendour. We then explore the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Egypt’s only woman Pharaoh. After that comes a visit the Karnak Temple Complex, known as Ipet-isu (or ‘most select of places’) to the ancient Egyptians. It is a city of temples built over 2,000 years and covers about 200 acres (1.5 km by 0.8 km). The great temple at the heart of Karnak is so big that St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, Milan Cathedral and Notre Dame Cathedral would fit within its walls. The Hypostyle Hall, at 54,000 square feet (16,459 meters) features 134 columns and is still the largest room of any religious building in the world. Overnight at Luxor.
After breakfast check out and drive to the airport for your flight back home. It’s time to say goodbye to all the new friends you have made. We hope you take back many happy memories of your holiday. We would like you to spare a few minutes of your time to write and tell us how you enjoyed your holiday and any suggestions you may have for the future
